About

The Ancient Marathoner is the alter ego of a New York City runner and writer who during the salad days of his forties and early fifties ran marathons consistently under three hours and contributed to publications that included Running Times and New York Runner.  Now during his wilted salad days he continues to run about a marathon a year, but just assumes not discuss his times.  Since many of his editors are now deceased, the Ancient Marathoner website is a way for him to get his thoughts on running out there, strongly believing in the mathematical principal that having a single reader or two is infinitely more than having zero.
